Art @ the Airport 

The Casa Grande Art Association hosts ART @ THE AIRPORT to provide an opportunity for artists to show

their work and to promote a positive awareness of the Casa Grande Municipal Airport. Art is on display

year-round and changes every few months. In addition to our themed shows, selected Artists will have the opportunity to showcase their art as a Featured Artist in addition to each of the shows listed below. Each show beginning and ending date will always coincide with a general meeting date.

SHOWS 

      The Surrender Show is something our Association does every year. At our January meeting each year participating Artists bring a work  that is roughly 30% finished. Another Artist will randomly choose one of those works. They have 1 month to  complete the piece in their chosen medium. A before and after photo will be displayed along with the finished  artwork at the Airport. The Artist that completes the unfinished work will then own that work and can offer it for sale during the show if they choose to do so.

 Dates for this show are February to May.

     In celebration of the 67th Cactus Fly-In Event (held on March 8, 2025) an additional show will be on display which will include desert, aviation, vintage aircraft and car themed Art.

     The Americana Show features Artwork based on an all American theme. Things that make our Country stand out, such as, nostalgia, patriotism, baseball, apple pie, the western lifestyle, eagles and other symbolic things that indicate the great USA. You get the picture!

Dates for this show are May to September.

     The All Things Aeronautical Show always includes a surprising and interesting mix of anything in the atmosphere such as balloons, aircraft, birds, stars, moon, sun, clouds, etc. The Artists step up their creativity for this one!

Dates for this show are September to February.

Announcements of submission dates and times occur prior to each show in the CGAA Newsletters and during general meetings (including submission forms and guidelines).

     We welcome and encourage the public to come see these amazing displays at the Casa Grande Airport. The   Lobby is open 7 days a week from 6 am to 4 pm.
