Committees

Our Focus - Our Passions!

Get more involved in Casa Grande Art Association by joining a committee. Meet new people, express your ideas and help CGAA continue to be an active, interesting and informative art association. We are always looking for fresh, new ideas and energies. We invite you to join one or more of our committees.

Please check out the committees below and contact us if you are interested in participating in one or more.

Activities Committee

The focus of the Activities Committee is to plan and develop ideas for activities that benefit and enrich the artists’ experience with art. Whether organizing exciting field trips, planning educational opportunities for adults and children, or engaging interesting speakers for monthly meetings, the Activities Committee puts it all together, ensuring a varied and lively art learning culture for Casa Grande.

Art @ the Airport Committee

The aim of this committee is to plan, develop ideas and facilitate art shows for the art gallery located inside the Casa Grande Municipal Airport. Our goal is to create opportunities for artists to show their artwork and to cultivate artistic experiences that benefit and enrich the lives of those visiting and living in our community. This committee is also responsible for partnering with the City of Casa Grande Municipal Airport in promoting awareness of the airport and their support in the community and the arts.

Community Outreach Committee

Because CGAA is committed to making art available to all, it has a dedicated interest in reaching out to the community. This committee is responsible for partnering with other organizations such as the Casa Grande Art Museum, Casa Grande Mainstreet, and the Arts and Humanities Commission to raise funds for programs that bring art to the community. Other commitments include youth mentoring programs to develop learning for young artists and scholarship programs to promote learning about the arts at higher levels.

Holiday ART Market at Museum

The Casa Grande Art Museum graciously provides the venue for this event which takes place on Friday and Saturday of the Black Friday weekend following Thanksgiving. There will be artists in booths displaying their work for sale. We are looking for more volunteers who live in CG year-round to help organize the event.

Marketing & Social Media Committee

The Marketing Committee concentrates its efforts on promoting the CGAA to the community at large through development of marketing materials. Whether through photography, proposing designs, getting price quotes, or developing marketing materials such as nametags and business cards, this committee focuses on developing and promoting the ‘face’ of CGAA and art for the benefit of the community.

Museum Coordination Committee

The purpose of the Museum Coordination Committee is to form a strong partnership with the Casa Grande Art Museum with the goal of raising funds to both plan and carry out beautification projects, and assist with other projects the Museum may need help with. The CGAA recognizes the historic relevance of the Casa Grande Art Museum and works hard to nurture the preservation of this piece of Casa Grande’s backstory.

Studio Tour Committee

The CGAA is proud to host its own Studio Tour the 1st weekend in March. The Studio Tour Committee plans the event, secures studio sites, organizes additional artist vendors, develops signage and posters, and promotes the event, just to name a few of its responsibilities. The committee is always looking for host locations and artists to participate in this juried show that showcases the scope of talent to be found in the Casa Grande community. The event remains free to the public.

YARTSY "The Artsy Yard Tour" Committee

This committee organizes a garden tour as a fundraiser for CGAA. The tour creatively inspires visitors as they tour six unique and artistic yards. The committee searches for the unique yards, corresponds with homeowners, recruits sponsors and volunteers, and markets the event. The first YARTSY was held in March of 2019 and the proceeds were donated to Casa Grande Art Museum.
